I got introduced to DHoB in early 2009 when I attended my first Dunedin Brewers Guild meeting. It was great to see a tap house with a GREAT beer selection open up in the area. The owners, Andy and Rick, are real beer aficionados who share the same love for quality crafted beer as their customers.

Since my original visit I've been back several dozen times and each visit is always enjoyable. The staff is friendly and helpful with beer recommendations and the atmosphere is fun and lively. Almost every time I've been there someone has finished their 'Rail Card' by drinking a beer from each of the available 40 taps. This results in a round of applause, a pic documenting the event for Facebook, and a free 'I Drank The Rail' t-shirt.

I'm confident beer drinkers from every walk of life can find something they like on the 40 taps but if you're looking for something in particular they offer an excellent selection of bottled beers too.

Parking out front is limited and tight so best to park in the rear where there is plenty of space. If you're hungry eat first as there are only 'snacks' available to eat. As they say, 'It's All About The Beer'. :)

40 taps of beer for the enthusiasts. Great selection. Friendly staff. Regular customers are friendly as well. They just expanded to include a game room (Golden Tee, darts) and a lounge area with couches. They always have a Framboise and a cider on tap for those types of drinkers. They always have a good selection of IPAs and IIPAs on tap for drinkers like me. (Stone, Bells, Lagunitas, Victory, etc)

Food: Only prepared food in containers is available. Fish spread and crackers, chips and salsa, etc. Sodas, bottled water, and wine also available.

Outside covered seating is available.
