Beermongers has chosen a niche for themselves as a low-margin place with a selection of only the best beers. It's true, their prices are not beat anywhere in town. The downside of that strategy is that they don't stock things that they can't compete on pricewise -- namely the standard universe of craft six-packs. Still, when you want to splurge on that special bottle, shop here first.

It's also just a cool place to hang out. They have a bar with about 7 beers on tap, again at very reasonable prices ($3-$4 a pint). So you can have a pint while you scan the coolers, or shoot the breeze with the proprietors or other shoppers. They don't sell food themselves, but you can bring in food if you want to hang out and have a beer.

A nice little bottle shop, located at the confluence of a couple up and coming neighborhoods. Difficult to get in and out of the parking lot, especially during rush hour. If you miss the entrance, try parking up 12th. Staff is knowledgeable, but you usually have to be the one to approach them for recommendations or questions. They have a couple of taps, once again you have to seek out a staff person to find this out and/or purchase a pint.
