Cole's opening was a bit of a surprise in the Logan Square neighborhood. The bar has only officially been open a couple of weeks when we visited, but they already had a pretty nice taplist of about 8 craft beers and a bottle list that includes a few cheap domestics (pbr and old style cans) and a good selection of craft bottles (Two Hearted, Lagunitas Pils, Alpha King, Edmund Fitzgerald Porter...).

On tap Cole's has selections like: North Coast Old 38 stout on nitro (the owner's personal favorite), Metropolitan Dynamo, Two Brothers Domain Dupage. The bar itself is rather long and "L" shaped and there are many small tables in the front room if you want to sit with a group.

There is a pool table in front and in the back, behind a blue curtain, there is a stage and an open area for listening to bands or open mic comedy.

The owner, Cole, has plans to have free music most nights of the week. Eventually, he would like to have something going on the stage every night, but since opening, he usually has something Wed-Sat.

There is no food at Cole's and they do not expect to have any. But you are free to bring in take-out if you want. There is free wifi available (ask at bar for password).

Cole's is cash only.

Logan Bar and Grill, Revolution Brewpub (opening soon), Cole's and Rocking Horse are going to make for a pretty enjoyable pub crawl up Milwaukee. Street parking in the neighborhood isn't too difficult. Cole's is a short stroll from the California Blue Line stop.
