I stopped here expecting something more like a brewery, but it ended up being a nice restaurant also. The facility is a bit out of the way, but worth the trip. Parking was simple. There was a small gift shop right near the entrance, which had a lot of beer to take home, and a smattering of t-shirts, pint glasses, etc.

Red Hook's beers are very good. The sampler included 6 different beers, with Copper Hook being my favorite of the bunch. I'm disappointed that their beers aren't easier to find in NY.

Very nice, new building a little out of the town. Plenty of parking and room inside. We arrived to late for the brew tour so settled for food and drink. Flagship brews are about average but seasons above. Decent size menu with ribs that are worth getting second of. Wait staff is very nice and patient, even if someone in your group happened to knock over 6 glasses. Definetly plan to spend more time here my next trip up.

Great beer, great food, great atmosphere and an amazing tour! What's not to love. This is a hidden gem considering the size and scope of the distribution. I live in the state and still many people don't know about it. I send as many people as I can there and they are never disappointed. I love every one of their beers, just take the tour and you will find ALL about them and get a good amount for only $1. Their original beer, the ESB, is my favorite, along with the Widmer Hefeweizen and Sun Rye. Great stuff. They have some great pub style food and I recommend the Prime Rib & Cheddar sandwich to EVERYONE. It is the best sandwich I've ever had. Simple and extremely tasty. Can't recommend it more.

This is, by far, the best tour I have been on in the New England area. Last time I went on the tour it cost $2 for a free souvineer cup. In a small group, you get to try each beer multiple times, just in case yue need another taste to decide if you like the beer or not. Aside from that, the facility seems to be built with the tour in mind. It is very tour friendly even without taking you down to the actual floor of the brewery. It has an interesting history to go with it as well. Every time I have friends or family visit, I take them on this tour as it always pleases.

I agree with bshmitz that they have a dam good hefewizen. I like their porter but sometimes I am not in the mood for the hint of coffee flavor in it. That does not matter though as they always have a great selection of fresh beer.

There is also a hotel next door in case you get so drunk you can't drive home.

Best Hefeweizen. That is the most important point to make about Red Hook. The Widmer Brothers formula Red Hook uses for their hefeweizen is by far, the best we've tasted yet. It's clean, crisp, and not too banana-clovey.

Now, on to the rest of the review. My wife and I have taken the 1 hour tour 6 times now, and we learn something new each round. But, of course, for $1 you get a good tour, great beer, and always excellent company on this small and intimate tour.

Red Hook consistently serves up solid beers, and their selection of seasonal ales is worth waiting for. My favorite is the Winterhook. Buy a case and save it for July. You won't be disappointed.

Redhook's digs on the East coast is a fun place to catch a tour of the brewery. Midday tours watch the bottling and kegging lines in action as well as the Brewhouse. Seeing all those bottles whizing around the line is very cool and you get samplers of all the current beers on tap. The pub does a fresh firkin of cask ale's every Weds night. The IPA being served in oak cask is very tasty. The food is fairly simple pub fare but is done very well, its a bit on the pricy side at $8-12 for a meal but the helpings are generous and tasty. Pints are $4 but the 23oz is a reasonable $4.75. Six beers are always on tap and usually there are atleast one of the Brewers Series bers on tap which are one off batches only sold in the pub. currently there is a Baltic porter and a big IPA called single barb on tap. No guest beers though.
