The beer selection is quite good, although they seem to have a slower rotation than I would like. They have a good selection of northwest craft beers from both BC and the US.

The seating upstairs is shared on long tables, which is a great way to meet new people (Although it can get a bit too loud when it starts to get full).

The food is higher class than most beer pubs (and priced accordingly), but it very well prepared and worth the cost.

This is by far my favourite beer bar in Vancouver. The location is just outside one of the dicier parts of the city, the downtown Eastside.
They have at least 2 or 3 cask beers available all the time, another 20 or so beers on tap as well as an extensive beer cellar for some of the rarer craft brews available.
The food is more than just your standard pub fare. It's pub fare with a kind of upscale twist.
All in all, a place that if you like beer should be on your list of places to go when in Vancouver.

Great place for dinner, a snack, and of course beer. They've got a wide draft beer selection, plus (I'm pretty sure?) monthly rotating casks. A large variety of local beer is available, as well as some unique imports.

You might think the location is iffy given it is situated in the heart of Vancouver's downtown east-side, but it's actually quite nice. The darker ambiance and and extra room downstairs with its own bar is great. My company held a 150-200 person Christmas staff party there and it rocked!

The food is, simply put, awesome. Really good quality dishes, with changing specials too. You are bound to find something that you'll like, even though the food selection may look small. Quality over quantity seems to be approach at the Alibi Room, which agrees with my stomach :).
