Stopped in here as it happened to be right next door to Bent River brewpub. Shiny black sign lettering outside with blond wood framing the window/faux doors. Sign board outside listed a tenderloin special and macro beer special.

Inside it had a sort of faux cozy feel, high ceilings with shiny copper panels on the ceiling. Some German signs here and there, but if I hadn't seen the extensive menu, I wouldn't have pegged this bar as a German "bierstube" in the literal sense. Baseball on the several flatscreens, and Jagermeister dispensers behind the bar. Uncanny blonde bartenders that looked almost like twins. Vibe was kinda sportsbar-ish.

36 taps, but honestly not alot to get a beer geek excited. The Schlafly seasonal was their APA, which I love, but the beer I got tasted almost medicinal. Other taps were a blend of mainstream craft, and about a third macro. German beers seemed to be the strong suit, especially on the bottled menu.

Crowd during the afternoon was laid back, seemed to be regulars. Servers tended to congregate and chat, but it was pretty slow. Didn't impress as much as the Bierstube outpost in Davenport, which had a better tap selection, servers, and a much more cozy vibe.
