Beautiful brewery and nice folks. Everyone there is very friendly and very into beer. They really take an interest in the local homebrew community as well. Which is real cool. Their beers are real authentic German styles. They don't try to make German beer like some other breweries. They DO make German beer. They use real German Munich and pilsner malts. They don't skimp or take shortcuts. You can tell that on the first sip.

I could not agree more with the above reviews. They are right on the money with their brews. I have made several trips to Germany and these beers are super. Met both of the guys there and they are super passionate about their product. That caring comes through in the beer. I also like the fact you can take in your own kegs and they will clean and fill them with the brew. They are definitely on the right track with their brews.

Great authentic German Beers. Nice tap room. Good deals on growlers with a really neat system of filling them. Nice to have a new local brewery again. Their Kolsh, and Alt beers are outstanding and available all year round. The current seasonal (winter) dunkel is also really good. This is a place that should be on every Charlottean's beer map. They offer tours on Saturdays as well. Anyone else think this 75 word minimum is bull?

The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is putting out some very high quality German beers. They strictly adhere to the Reinheitsgebot, which makes for a very authentic product. Their taproom is open and fairly spacious, and their outdoor biergarten is very well laid out. On Fridays, there's a booth selling Brats. If you find yourself in Charlotte, and want a fantastic beer that you simply can't find anywhere else, this is the place to go. As a fairly new brewery, they don't have a lot of different styles, but their house beers (an alt and a kolsch) are fantastic, and their seasonals are very nice as well.
