Lindley Park Filling Station is on the corner of Walker and Elam avenues, which has now become a beer destination in GSO.

Just a few blocks from UNCG in the Lindley Park neighborhood, LPFS has become one of my favorite spots in Greensboro. There is a small bar and a few tables inside. There is a large outdoor patio that is landscaped nicely. There are six taps which seem to rotate a bit. Two taps from Natty's (local) are always on. There is a tap for Foothills (Winston-Salem) as well. I have had CBC Impy Stout on tap here and it isn't even distributed in this county! Bottle selection is small but quality. Bell's and Clipper City being highlights for me.

Beers are $1 off on Tuesday nights, when I normally go to LPFS. The food here kicks ass. I have not had one bad item from the menu here. The meatloaf wrap is especially good. The service here was terrible when the place first opened. We kept going back just for the food. Now the service has improved greatly. Hit this place for lunch/dinner if you find yourself in Greensboro.

edited (5-13-09) to add: Service had temporary bump. It is very spotty now, leaning towards terrible. I still go there, I love the food and the beer.

edit (11-25-09): Lately the service in general is the worst I have ever experienced. Unless there is something special on-tap, just walk away.
