Went on the miller tour, again, yesterday for fun... I also kinda have that know thy enemy and need to remind myself why I don't like their beer by drinking from them, and not paying for it. But onto the review.

Miller brewing company offers free tours every 20 minutes, the tour has changed a bit since I last took it and the caves are closed till august, so I was told, but this is the general layout...

You get seated in a 100 person theater and find out the benefits of miller time. Man that film is crap... There's one point where the film eludes drinking miller beer is the ultimate hookup drink, there was a collective sigh from the women and raunchy laughter from the guys... it's meant to be sexist, I think... Gives an overview of fred and his starting and his progress and his destination in milwaukee, shoots around a lot of old to new shots, old to new marketing...

after the film is over, the walking tour begins and you are shuffled down about 2 blocks to the bottling line, entering thru a secured gate and shuffled up some stairs on an overlook overseeing one section of their bottling line... 1200 bottles a minute... omg... some of those facts were impressive... there were other things, but the bottles were impressive to me... after that you would move on to other sections of the brewery, but there were a lot of tours and as I said, the caves were closed, so onto drinking at the miller inn.

Only had one or two sips of MGD lite and then threw it in the toilet, but the "miller inn" had 4 samples MGD lite, MGD, High life, and our regional craft brewer leinies shandy... I ain't drinking all that...

after that, the miller beergarden is open across the street, didn't go in there, but I assume, more miller products for people as they sit outside.

the brewery part of the tour, the actual brewery vessels part is seperate... you hafta climb 4 flights of stairs. They weed out the old people with the stairs on the production tour, so they don't hit the brewery part and quit halfway... I've been on that before, you go up the stairs and you get to see vessels that are stories high... one thing that I like about this part is how ginormus these tanks are... they are great. you ask your questions and they dodge them as gracefully as they can, or they ignore you and answer a completely different question, which has happened to me in that past.

miller makes a lot of beer... I wish more of it was good.

the price of the tour is free, but you almost want your time back pending on your pov.
