As of 2012, McKenzie Brew House has three locations (Chadds Ford, Malvern, and Devon), all in PA. Chadds Ford is conveniently located just north of the DE state line on route 202. This location is situated in the expanded median of a highway. It is a two-story beige stucco and wood building, and the windows along the front allow you to see the copper in stainless steel brewing vessels inside. To the right are four midsize stainless steel fermenters. Inside on the right is the bar room with a 30-chair wooden island bar. The restaurant has plenty of dining tables, an outdoor patio, and a downstairs lounge. I like the design of the restaurant, and have been happy with their beer selection. Their beers are typically average in strength, but nicely flavorful. Of their standard offering, I recommend the American Pale Ale, Saison Vautour farmhouse ale, and Belgian style Wit. They also will have a few seasonals on tap, and some of my favorites have been Band Wagon Double IPA, Hefeweizen, and Mai Bock. The food menu is diverse with plenty of choices. It is worth a visit for a meal and beer sampler.
