linkMarket Cross pub offers only a few small-batch house beers, but also has other mainstream English and American beers available. When I visited in early 2011, there was only one house beer - Bessie's Best Brown Ale, which was drinkable and flavorful despite its low 3.9% abv. At a beerfest later in 2011, I found two more brews from Market Cross - Pub Daddy Pale Ale was better than average, but Midsummer's Knight Wheat was disappointing. Judging solely on its house beers, I can't give high marks to Market Cross - it simply doesn't offer a good variety of microbrews.
