I visited Mad Anthony Brewing Company for lunch on a Monday. I parked behind the brewpub and went in the front doors to the bar. The look and feel of the place was of an old neighborhood bar. The one peculiar thing about the bar is that the bar itself and the stools stand on a higher platform than the bartender's area. (nothing wrong with that, just a different view than normal)

The bartender (Rose) was knowledgeable about their beer, and quick to explain the daily specials. I felt welcome, although I'm sure everyone else at the bar was a regular.

Burgers were the food special of the day. The choices of sides included cole slaw, pasta salad, and warm german potato salad. (fries were a little extra) I had the black & blue burger with a side of german potato salad. The burger was served on a chibata roll with lettuce and tomato. Overall, it was a good, hardy lunch.

The beer list included a pale ale, a brown ale, a golden ale, auburn ale, rasberry ale, summer ale, pre-pro pilsner, irish stout, west coast stout, and a rye pa. I started with the rye, and it was fantastic. The west coast stout was my second beer and it was good, just not as good as the rye. (The beer engine was offline)

This was my first visit to Mad Anthony. I won't hesitate to stop again.
