A good but not outstanding brewpub offering a good if safe selection of beers. Nothing was stellar, but nothing was bad either. I would stop by again if I was in the area for the beer but I wouldn't make a special trip. I had the sampler so I got to try everything they had on tap. The Stout was my favorite of what was on tap that day.

The building is very cool and has a comfortable old-building feel to it. We were here during off-peak times so I don't know if they get crowded or not.

Long Valley is an old favorite of ours. They always have a good number of their beers available (about 8). I have noticed that some of the styles run into each other, and each does not always have the standout quality of some other NJ brewpubs. That's ok if you are only looking to try a few per visit.
The atmosphere here is great. The building is an old barn, and the woodwork appears mostly original. It is particularly nice upstairs.
The menu has great variety, and has a German feel to it. One notable dish is the Best of the Wurst (three sausage types with mashed potatoes). Generally a great location for food and drink, even if it is in a 1-horse town.
