The best German beer bar/ restaurant that I know. Excellent atmosphere (although sometimes a little bright due to the big windows) in a great part of Seattle. They have a strong lineup of German beers, always with correct glassware. They generally have German Bundesliga on the television and nice wooden tables and chairs to add to that "old world" vibe. What really stands out for me though is the great food they have here, Bratwurst or Weinshnitzel, and curried ketchup for your fries, you can't go wrong. Fresh and well prepared grub to go with your liter of Franziskaner.

Feierabend opened in 2006 in an interesting transitional neighborhood (heading up) north of downtown Seattle and just up the street from the flagship REI. It’s a quiet street but parking is tight. It’s one of three different places with the same owners (the others are Prost! and die Bierstube) and very consistent with the others. All of the beers (17 at our last visit) are German. This location is a friendly place with lots of windows, tall ceilings painted black, and with ceiling fans and exposed heating ducts. The floors are stained concrete, some walls painted mustard yellow (the curtains at the windows match), and some deep red. Wooden tables and chairs (and some bar stools at the bar) fill the space. The tables are labeled as being designed to share, as you would find in Germany. The music can be loud. One TV over the bar (but with no sound).

The food is mostly German-style (and well done), such as potato pancakes, sausages, etc. but also some salads and specials.
