This is one store in a chain of liquor stores in the Indianapolis area, but what sets this one apart from the others is the manager, Mike Sprinkle. Mike is a total beer guy and is active on both the Beer Advocate and RateBeer sites. If he knows you are a user of either of those sites, you get a discount from your total bill at the store. He also tends to hold back some of the harder to find or rare beers in the back room, so if you don't see it, ask. I had been looking for some of the Lambics from Upland brewery in Bloomington. No one had these beers anymore, but I emailed Mike, and he told me he had some stashed away and would be happy to sell me one of each. Very cool.

The store isn't very large, so the selection isn't as big as some other stores (the only reason for my less then perfect score), but they seem to have just about everything you would want there. They had stuff on the shelves that I've never seem in my part of NW Indiana, as well as a lot of things that were here but disappeared long ago. I was able to pick up two vintage wheat wines from Two Brothers, that I know have never been available in my local store of choice.

The guys that waited on me were great. They knew their beer well and were very friendly. You couldn't ask for a better shopping experience.

While we were there they were also having free wine and cheese tastings, which I understand they have most Saturdays. All in all a great place to buy your beer! I'll be back next time I head to Indy.
