The Upper Peninsula's first brew-pub. Mike Sattem the house brewer is known for pleasing hop-heads with a fantastic IPA, typically hopped up for the local palate.
Also popular beers... a rotating wheat style, rotating stout style (Oatmeal I think being the best, and a fantastic milk stout), Whitetail Ale, Cleary Red (2nd best seller behind the IPA), and some seasonal beers. Typically 6 or 7 house brewed beers on tap, and 1 or 2 guest taps - typically from Michigan breweries.
Non-beer: service outside of the bar has been erratic in the past, but is generally improving. A new head chef has revitalized the menu, and vastly improved food quality. If you like beer, you can't go wrong visiting here for that alone... however, you can get a good meal too.
