Agree with Hoppy Go Lucky about service and atmosphere. I probably picked a bad time to drop by (Christmas Eve day) but I was lucky to get a space in their crowded lot so I headed in. There is a fair size free standing cooler with one side (about 4 of 6 doors) devoted to craft bombers and the other side displaying a mix of 6-packs of some crafts, BMCs and imports. There are also a good number of shelves and floor displays of seasonal crafts. The selection and prices were pretty good but there was a long line waiting for a few checkers so I decided not purchase anything. There is a short, one aisle lot on the side but many customers were parking on the street because it was full. (Being right next to the UPS warehouse doesn’t help the parking situation).

The Bottle Barn sells a rather broad selection of wine, champagne, spirits, and of course BEER. An unpretentious, no-frills store with the finest in concrete flooring (although they DO have a somewhat upscale and scaled down store in Healdsburg called the Wine Annex, which focuses on... wine (of course).

Back to the beer -- BB carries an excellent selection of brews from across the US and around the world. Virtually every style is represented, and available from microbreweries as well as the mega-suds producers (if you just prefer a "cold one" and aren't particular about the finer qualities of a good microbrew).

Prices are reasonable - particularly when compared with the prices at local grocery stores (Although I get a better deal on a "gang of 4 sixes" of Lagunitas IPA at my local Costco. But Costco is sorely lacking in selection - a Bottle Barn strong point. Overall, I'd rank BB's beer pricing as --slightly-- cheaper than your typical liquor or grocery store.

Service is efficient, although the staff doesn't seem overly excited about their work.

If I'm looking for any beer other than the aforementioned Lagunitas IPA, the Bottle Barn is my stop.
