linkI stop into this place from time to time when I am passing through Burlington. This place has a decent selection of local and regional craft beers. The store seems kind of bare (most of the times I have been in there), which is more product of the large space rather than lack of options. They carry some decent brews and, to the best of my knowledge, is the only place in Burlington to specialize in the craft beer. The owner/staff is pretty enthused about the shop and its potential for growth, in talking with him he told me he would try to and get what ever folks wanted (as long as it is available through his distributors). I "believe" they have testing's, but not sure of the frequency. I hope they continue to grow their selection as they intend, it will be really interesting to see where they are in a year or so. Although, I would not label this a destination, it is worth stopping in every now and again if you're passing through the area.

linkTop Brews has only been opened about two weeks and the selection is growing according to Michael, the owner. He has around 250 beers currently (his count) and says he plans to increase the selection to ultimately have 700 different beers and also wine. This place is not a destination, but could be a great little place with it's proximity to I40/I85.
Michael smokes so despite the store being brand new the place has that convenience store aromatic, certainly not one the winos will appreciate. The beers are well laid out and the prices in line with most of the other NC stores.
Michael says he will order any beer someone wants that he can get. I think he is really trying for excellent customer service, but he really does not seem to have a pulse on the beer market. Several brews on the shelves were already pretty far into the freshness dating so be sure to check the date before diving in.
I'll drop back by from time to time since he seems to be heading in a good direction.
