Have never been disappointed here and wish I lived closer. The Spring Bock was tapped the before and was the best beer of the day. I broke my tasting rule and had two. It was incredibly drinkable, considering the alcohol content. Was surprised, because past experience at other brewpubs/breweries has been that this can be overwhelming. Followed up with the Pale Ale, which was hoppy and like the Spring Bock, very drinkable. Food was excellent, as always.

Golden Avalanche Brewing is the name of the brewing "company" located inside the Kutztown Tavern, so if you're hunting this location, search for the tavern. The atmosphere felt like a college town bar, there was a decent crowd when I went, and the food was good. The selection consists of about 7 beers, with just enough variety to be interesting. They had a few styles of lagers, and the apricot lager really stood out as delicious. I must also complement the rich roasted flavor of their Onyx cream stout. I had to drive out of my way to visit Kutztown, but was a worthwhile sampling of well-crafted beers.
