French Broad is a place that should always be included on a stop to Asheville. Music generally starts up around 5:30 in the afternoon and pints are really inexpensive. They have some sandwiches available and growlers to go. The silly thing is they have outdoor seating, but beer is not allowed to be taken outside. So the interior seats about 30 folks maximum, and if you see that many already inside you may as well head elsewhere.

Drew is doing a great job with the brews, but they generally only have a few offerings at any given time. Drop in early, have some brews and enjoy the show.

I love these guys. They have live music every week night and just a great atmosphere. I've currently been there twice and I'll go in, get my beer of choice and get a sample of all their current beers on top of that. The beers are to style in my opinion and since I'm coming from the point of view of a homebrewer that's really important to me since I'm trying to match a beer to a certain recipe. My personal favorite beer is their Wee Heavy-er Scotch Ale.
