linkSituated in downtown Frederick, the Flying Barrel's a pretty cool homebrew shop and brew on premises location. It's really pretty small though. The proprietor, Bob, is friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices are decent (about what you'd expect at a homebrew shop). Sadly, the hop shortage has caused them to raise hop prices to $3.00 an ounce, but they're still competitive on the malt side. They've got pretty much everything you could need from equipment to ingredients, to kegerator parts, to brewing texts, etc. They've also got an impressive selection of liquid yeast cultures. All in all, on of the better homebrew shops I've had the pleasure to shop at-- definitely the place to go if you're in the Frederick area.
