linkAt time of writing the Shakespeare is up for sale, so I can't be sure how long the facts of this review will hold true.
At first glance it's a rather ordinary little pub on the ground floor of a small hotel in downtown Auckland. The brewing gear is visible behind the bar, but it's not until one looks at the menu that it becomes apparent just what sort of an operation this is. Ten (count 'em) house beers are on tap, with styles ranging from pale lagers and the ubiquitous kiwi-style light ale, to thumping great stouts and even a barleywine.
There's a full menu of good bistro food as well.
An unmissable feature of Auckland's multifaceted pub life.
