Definitely a local hangout in a smaller mountain town. Probably extension of a tap room as the menu is fairly limited (pretty much pizza and appetizers). They sell most of the beers in bottles at the brewery.

I tried a sausage and spinach soup that most definitely had a kick too it.

They had a decent selection of beers, about 6 or 7. Nice overall selection. I tried the Dry Stout and ESB which are regular selections, both were very good, particularly the Dry Stout. They also had a seasonal Jamacain Stout on tap, which was a sweeter stout, also quit good.

This place my wife and I stopped in at on our 2 week tour of Colorado one summer. A small little mountain town where everyone probably knows everyone we felt out of place as soon as we walked in. But after a min we felt welcomed. Like in movies, when they all stop doing what they are doing and turn to see who walks in. Well that was how it was. And then they went about doing what they were doing before. Place is small and was full of people. We ended up sitting at the bar to have a couple beers.

They don't offer a sampler, I'm guessing because their brewing system is really small and only have a few beers at a time. I had the stout which was excellent and I can't remember what my wife had but it was also good.

Service was about average. It was busy so I didn't expect much out of the waitress as I knew she would be busy.

I can't remember if we ate here or not. To long ago to remember. But I remember they were serving pizza which smelled really good so I at least know they had that.

If ever I am driving through west Colorado again I will deffinatly be back here for more.

I have stopped here a few times on drives through the Dolores River valley. The owners have bigger brewery experience (I seem to remember Seattle and Denver breweries, but you may want to confirm that). They liked the outdoor lifestyle of the area (rafting, MTB, hiking, etc.). Pale Ale is clean but not very adventurous. Food is folksy and healthy. They are closed on Mondays. Some of there beers may be available in Cortez, CO at better establishments, like Koko's.
