This seems to be the antithesis of a Traditional Irish Pub. It is an overly crowded, way overpriced "hang-out" to meet up with douchebags, yuppies and people who know nothing about a quality beer. The place reeks of perfume, and ego and happens to be filled with ostentatious girls and pretentious guys.

It is not uncommon to wait over 15 minutes for a $9 beer (12 oz, not 16 oz) and to come out with a sore throat for having to shout over everyone else's conversations about "can you believe what she's wearing?!?"

There is a large selection of UK beers, but they are served way too cold, and usually the drafts are over-carbonated. They also have some Belgian beers, but again are way too cold and often under-carbonated.

The best thing going for Fado is the pretty good ambiance. However, they have a less than stellar beer selection. Fortunately, the food is good. As you can imagine, most of the brews (maybe all?) are from the UK. They've got the typical Guinness, Boddington's, Murphy's, etc.

There are plenty of TVs, and it's a great spot to watch soccer. Be sure to try the Guinness barbeque chicken sandwich. It's messy but delicious.

As of 11-7-07 Fado is closed and relocating.
