The Winking lizard is a wedge shaped building near the Indians ballpark. There are two smallish bars each in its own room and a patio area. There are also plenty of tables for larger groups. It is understandably popular on game days.

Plenty of flat screens tuned to sports. Music volumes are low, lots of conversation noise.

They have a friendly staff. Maybe a trifle slow when crowded, but they are very free with samples.

24 or so taps, at least 16 are decent. They have multiple offerings from Great Lakes including a rotating special.

Large and inclusive bottle list including such gems as Heavy Seas Small Craft Warning, Hiatchino Ginger Brew, Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard, Cane and Ebel, etc.

The food is decent pub grub with some good specials. I thought the prices were very fair for both food & beer.

This is a great place to stop before or after a game or if you find yourself in this part of town on business.

The Winking Lizard is a local Cleveland chain. This is the downtown location which is located about a block from Jacob's Field or the Q if you want to grab a beer before a game.

The restaurant has an extensive food menu, the usual bar menu but it is extensive about 7 pages ranging from good chili, wraps, and salad to solid burgers and sandwiches. I wouldn't stop by specifically for the food but I haven't had anything bad here either.

The beer menu is awesome. They usually have about 25-30 on tap which rotates. More importantly they have at least 100 bottles at all times. Each year they sponsor the "Brewery Tour" which is someone can drink the 100 beers on the menu they win a coat. The 100 beers rotate each year and are a nice selection ranging from IPA to wheat to Belgian to Stouts. This is a good place to try some local Cleveland beers which don't really have breweries/pubs- Buckeye Brewing and Thirsty Dog in particular.
