linkThis Granite City installation is located in the Legends shopping area, so after lightening your wallet and stuffing your car at NFM and Cabella's, go to Granite City for a pint.
For beer, the Duke of Wellington IPA is the best choice, IMHO. Hoppy, crisp, great finish, I usually just go ahead and order a second one as soon as the first one is served. Ask the 'tenders for a Two-Pull if you are not an IPA fan or a style purist...you'll get a delightful result. If you go for the IPA and are hungry also, get the sausage rigatoni.
The atmosphere at Granite City is great...a resturant area if you like and a nice bar area if you favor that. At the bar is a refrigerated rail to keep your mug cool. The obligatory 40" LCDs and a young bar/wait staff is at hand. Upscale menu with a few things I like on it. For being in a huge shopping center, we've never had a seating problem, no more than a 10 minute wait, ever, and most of the time it's a walk in, particularly in the bar area.
Pints, growlers, and some keg sizes (alas, no 1/6th BBL for my kegerator) are available. And a mug club, if you are lucky enough to live withing decent driving distance of this great brewpub.
Annoyances:Most of the people in there are exasperated shoppers, so the atmosphere is different than most places.
