The Drafting Room is a brick and wood stand-alone building, with a few outdoor patio tables, and a dedicated parking lot. The interior is divided into dining rooms and a bar area with a few small tables. The 12-chair marble top bar has 15 beers on tap, several beer refrigerator cases, and liquor shelves with a very nice selection of whiskeys. Wall chalkboards are updated with the tap list, and you have the option to create your own sampler flights. The draft beers are mostly regional craft brews, and they also have about 120 bottles of national crafts and trusted European imports. The food menu has a nice variety of appetizers and entrees. The Drafting Room is a decent place, but is not extraordinary. It's hard to say exactly why, but I wasn't especially charmed by this place. In any case, judge for yourself by stopping in for a beer.

I'm a regular at TDR. They are a bit more of an upscale bar, but the prices aren't out of control. They are really dedicated to craft beer as well as PA craft brews. They usually have a couple PA beers on tap. They have 14 taps and if they got more it would only help their cause. Good bottle selection that's available for take out. They charge 1/2 price for most of the take out bottles, but that drops the price to about average for take home beer. They fill growlers at good prices as well. TDR does a bunch of beer events with breweries. They will feature a bunch of a specific company's beers and usually have some freebees to go along with it. Food is very nice. Like I said, a bit more upscale. They don't really do bar food. Service is great... The bartenders are really knowledgeable and friendly. Sean, Greg, Heather... Keep up the good work!
