Matt raises the bar for craft brewing- he doesn't make a couple of great beers with a couple of good beers with one or two "beer for the masses" or lawn mower beers. Matt brews eight beers that make you say "WOW- that's a great beer".

His distribution is expanding, but if you can't find Voodoo beer, it's worth a trip to Meadville. Not to mention it's the only way you'll be able to try the stouts for now. The PLCB hasn't given final approval for the labels yet. But, they are incredible!

Voodoo is just a brewery in an old building at the moment so please excuse the ratings for atmosphere. I do have to give the service a 5.00 because Matt and Justin are great guys.

The pub is now open and it's awesome!

Ohhhhhh, this guy is good! Matt Allen has become a very talented, innovative brewer. I recently spent an hour with him in the brewery and sampled his beers. I enjoy big, flavorful brews and he nails them. From his 4 Season IPA (changes the recipe every 3 months to best reflect the season), to his Wynona's Big Brown Ale (I am not a fan of 99% of the nut browns out there, but his is exceptional), to his Gran Met Belgian-style golden ale, and his White Magick of the Sun Belgian-style wit, these beers are superb. His passion for brewing is obvious. Latch on to some as soon as you can. He has begun bottling and shipping to Pittsburgh and Philly, but it is most definitely worth the trip to Meadville, PA to sample Matt's goods. In regards to my scoring below, concern yourself only with the beer. The place is under construction and hopefully within a year a brewpub will be in operation, so as of now there is no atmosphere, nor service, nor food. Its currently a hole-in-the-wall brewery where some of the finest beers Ive ever sampled are born.
