The Belmont location of Alternative Beverages/Homebrew Adventures can be a chore to find without the GPS address (should be correct here on beermapping)

The place is now basically a warehouse. The shelves are well stocked and cared for, but pricing is not on them which is an odd quirk. The staff can help with pricing concerns and with any question that may arise. Very helpful and attentive.

Since they have pretty much anything one could desire and generally have it in stock at a decent price they get high marks.

Alternative Beverage is being booted out of their home of 22 years to make way for a condo.

The new warehouse is @ 1500 River Dr. Belmont, NC 28012

To say it is not easy to find is an understatement.

The first order I placed with Alternative Beverage was online for rhizomes. The order was shipped and received amazingly fast and accurate. The rhizomes were healthy. When planted they sprouted and are growing well.

My second business transaction with them was during a recent trip to Charlotte. I needed a few items so I popped in… fast and friendly. The guy manning the store didn’t think they had the yeast type I needed, so we went through what they had, lo and behold, they had it.

Prices are reasonable-it’s a great place to shop.
