42nd Street is a landmark in Raleigh, NC and has been in business forever. It is generally overlooked by those in RTP who appreciate craft beer, but has a well chose draft and bottle list of craft and imported beer.

The bar area can become quite smoky at times so plan accordingly. Service is excellent at the bar and the oyster bar, but can be spotty if sitting at a table in the bar area.

The food at the oyster bar (oysters) is always great, but other dishes can miss and often do. Anyway, back to the beer. Local brews from NC often dominate the draft board and the bottle list seems to focus on micro and imports.

If you haven't visited 42nd Street do so, and if you haven't been there in a long time, go back.
