Of all the liquors stores in all the world, I had to walk into this one.

Their receipt boasts, "Award winning delivery services." Uhm, in my eyes, they have award-winning come-and-get-it-yourself service, for nowhere else in all of Boston (so far) have I found quite the awesome beer selection, including individual bottles for sale!

Rogue! Dogfishhead! Great Divide! Ommengang! Sam Smith!

Oh, my long lost friends! How I have missed you all!

I swear to you, I stood transfixed and gibberishly happy in the beer aisles, just staring wide-eyed at the wonderful selection, which includes my favorite Norwegian beers.

And Rogue.
And Rare Vos.
And Great Divide.
And Dogfishhead.
And LeftHand.

And single bottles!

And, and, and... I could go on and on about how thrilled I felt when I walked into this place and discovered this isn't your average liquor store. At least not when it comes to beer.

So, uh, yeah. Can you tell I'm excited? You have no idea how much I wanted to find a place like this. Charles Street Liquors, I love you.

I told the guys at the counter that this was the best beer store I've found in all of Boston. Then I asked if they ever got in Rogue's Monk Madness. "Doesn't ring any bells," I was told. "We'll look into it, though."

They must! Imagine how awesome they'd be if they got in the Monk Madness. After all, they already carried a couple Rogues I had never heard of, including the Jazz Guy Ale I picked up.

I selected all single bottles, including the Hibernation Ale from Great Divide (their winter brew) and one from Harpoon. It's so awesome to pick up a single bottle b/c you never know if you'll like the beer enough to want to drink the other five.

Oh, yeah. Definitely check this place out if you love beer. And even if you don't, for they had aisles and aisles of wine to explore too.

This is a very cool little store with a nice beer selection. The beer is towards the back, with a wall of bombers and singles and a few cooler doors full of 6-packs. The bomber selections seems to be more focused on foreign beers, lots of Belgian and English brews, some Germans but they do have a decent selection of American beer as well.

The staff is very nice, always there to offer up a suggestion or shoot the breeze a little. The beer area is a little disorganized so finding things is somewhat of a task. Last time I was there they had my absolute favorite beer, St. Lamvinus which gets them mad props from me but they always seem to have a few really cool beers nestled into the regular selection. Prices were pretty on point for the area and overall this store is a really cool little spot to grab a few beers.
