Bull & Bush pub opened in 1971, with authentic decor modeled after a London pub dating back to 1645. According to their website, two satellite dishes were installed for showcasing world sporting events, creating the nation’s first ""Sports Bar"". They have a large wrapping bar and plenty of table seating, which can fill up quickly due to their popularity. The food menu is good, and the atmosphere is undeniable. B&B has been brewing since 1997, and I am very impressed at their excellent portfolio of beers. I visited B&B a couple days after attending the 2011 GABF, sampled their dozen beers, and thoroughly enjoyed this place.

B&B routinely offers well crafted English style beers: Big Ben Brown Ale, Man Beer IPA, Stonehenge Stout, and Tower ESB. The remainder of their beer selection rotates frequently as they showcase new recipes. During my visit I tasted: No Coast IPA (hoppy), Black Coast Black IPA (flavorful!), Latta Cougar Belgian Imperiale (9.5% abv), Abt 12 Trappist (rich and delicious, 10% abv), Captain Midnight Black Saison, Fresh-Hopped Karl Golden Ale, Saison De Suitcase, and Turnip the Beets Belgian Tripel. Lastly, I again tasted Legend of the Liquid Brain Imperial Stout (robust and heavy at 12% abv), which had been my 4000th beer-tasting a couple days earlier. This great beer earned Gold at the World Beer Cup.

One of the smaller, but better breweries in the Denver area. The place is dark and antique-looking on the inside, like an old english pub. I'll start with the food. It's awesome. The Asiago cheese dip is incredible, the burrito is huge, and the burgers are all great.

Now, more importantly, the beer. They always have something new and unique on tap every time I go, and it's always phenomenal. In fact, since they always have something fun on tap (Last time I was there, they had their 40th anniversary wheat wine. Superb) I haven't had a chance to try all of their year round beers. Man Beer, their IPA, is a must try for the name alone, and it's pretty darn good to boot.

Anyway, the service is usually pretty good, and occasionally they have live music (which can be a little too loud considering the acoustics of the building, but the beer is so good I don't need to interact with whoever I'm there with anyway).

Great place, highly recommended.

This person needs 3 or more reviews on the site for their scores to start counting.

This is a great neighborhood spot frequented by locals. I stopped in on the way back to the airport on a business trip and enjoyed both the beer and the company. The Man Beer IPA and Big Ben Brown ale were both excellent, as was the Tower ESB. I just wish I didn't have a plane to catch. They had so many taps (So many taps, so little time!). I will certainly be back there should my travels take me back to Denver.
