We stopped in last week on a Saturday afternoon during their second week open to see what’s going on at the area’s newest brewery. They have 8 beers on tap plus 12 guest taps. Samples are four 6 ounce samples for $10. They have some really different beers like a Jalapeno-Raspberry Ale, Wasabi Hefeweizen, Ginger-Lime IPA, and Cocoa-Coconut Brown. All the beers were excellent. They do have wine for non-beer drinkers. Samples and pints are available in the brewery, growlers to go. They have a 4 barrel system and an 8 barrel fermenter; they are still just getting started so they don’t have kegs to go or distribute to the area yet.

There is plenty of indoor seating and several picnic tables outside. Since the brewery owners purchased the entire city block, they can use the large open grass area for bigger parties. It looked like a wedding reception was going on when we visited. They are growing Citra hops on the side of the brewery. They might not produce enough hops for too many batches but it will eventually provide a nice ambiance for the patio area and offer shade from the afternoon sun. They also have a blackberry patch and have planted apple and peach trees. All could be used in brewing or in the kitchen which is being operated in a partnership with a local restaurant. We didn’t sample the food but the menu looked great and the food smelled wonderful.

They have free Wi-Fi, music inside and out, as well as street and lot parking nearby. One of the co-owners has loaded the brewery with a rotating display of his historic brewery memorabilia. Any Brewery Collectibles Club of America (BCCA) member in the area should stop by just to see the collection!
