Genna's Lounge sits in a wedged shape building at the southern corner of the Capitol. It's an old school local's cocktail lounge. The beer list has a dozen taps and 60 bottles. Most of the taps were dedicated to Wisconsin's breweries, with Guinness the odd interloper. Bottle selections were on a similar vein.

Service was solid. The bartender was quick to recommend restaurants to the fellow beside me, and seemed to have everything under control.

Genna's has a large outdoor seating area. Inside was a little more cozy. The bar seats about ten. (or less) There are also a few tables. A few funky breweriana pieces and Lawrence Welk memorabilia adorn the walls.

Genna's wasn't a standout on my most recent Madison adventure, but it was more than solid. I love the local bent, but in Madison that seems to be the rule not the exception.
