Wolf's Ridge is a combination brewery, taproom and restaurant, all under one roof, which opened in 2013. The front restaurant holds its own hours separate from the brewery tasting room, which is located in the back of the building. The structure is tall one-story dark brick, with a rectangular W sign over the front sidewalk. Parking is metered along the street in front. The interior is white brick walls, creaking wood floor, and charcoal architectural tile ceiling. Rustic background music is playing, creating a relaxing dining ambience. Enter into the restaurant half of the building; there are plenty of dining tables on the left, and long communal dining tables in the center. Overhead is a grid of distinctive small, low-hanging spherical lights. On the right is their stainless steel topped 10-chair bar, and just past that is their open kitchen. On the left in the center of the building is their glass enclosed brewhouse. The midsize stainless steel brewing vessels are recessed down on the basement floor, with a shiny grain hopper overhead. Also inside are 4 stainless steel fermenter tanks. It is a decent sized operation, and they produce an enjoyable diversity of craft ales. Their beer tends to be flavorful and very nicely balanced to be quite drinkable; my favorites were their IPA, Doppelbock, and Pumpkin Pi Ale. The staff is charming, cheerful and prompt. Their gastropub menu consists of cheese and charcuterie appetizers, salad, upscale sandwiches, and creative dinner entrees. They have 12 house beers on tap, and I enjoyed them all on small sampler flights. They also have 10 guest varieties in bottles. Their Tap Room in the back has a two-sided black-topped bar with 12 chairs. The room is recessed down half a level, and has a concrete floor and exposed brick walls with high windows. On one side is a small decorative fireplace, and overhead is a grid of small incandescent lights. Wolf's Ridge is a very enjoyable restaurant brewery with great food, good service, and tasty beer.
