Mispillion River Brewing is located in an industrial park near a small regional airport. The warehouse style building is tall one story corrugated steel. There is limited parking in front and next door, or park in the grass if it's crowded. The tasting room has a few wooden tables and a 10-chair wooden bar. The floor is concrete, and the walls are painted green, adorned with brewery paraphernalia and string lights. A small bookshelf has some board games for play. The tasting room atmosphere is loud and social, and good lively background music is playing. On the wall is a chalkboard listing their 10 house beers on tap, which are available by glass or sampler flight. They also offer growlers to go, and usually have a limited release beer in 22oz bottles. Their beers are well crafted, flavorful and smooth. I was especially impressed with their Doppelbock and DIPA. Behind the bar are large windows that look onto the brewery floor. In front are their midsize stainless steel brewing vessels, and on the right are several midsize stainless steel fermenters. Further back is a second room with raw material storage and a garage door that opens to the back. Just outside the tasting room is a small concrete patio with a wooden picnic table. They do not have a kitchen but they usually have a food truck set up outside. The service is friendly and happy to serve. This young brewery opened in 2014 and is off to a great start. The brewmaster knows his stuff, and this brewery will continue to do well and grow. It is a popular destination on the weekend.
