Simply put, I believe Lawson's Double Sunshine is the best double india pale ale I've ever had. It is sublime and is a head above both Heady Topper and Hill Farmstead Abner (The other top DIPAs in VT). You cannot visit the brewery as it is at house and he doesn't particularly want to be on the brewery tour circuit, but you can find his beer on tap in a dozen our so taproom room in northern vermont and he delivers bottles to only 4 shops (all with bottle limits) and also has stands at a couple weekend farmer's markets. Many people flock to VT for Hill and Heady but Lawson's offerings are my favorite and worth seeking out. Visit lawsonsfinest.com for info on events and current delivery schedule. Also, I'm basing my overall score on quality and the fact that Sean Lawson is one badass mofo. Atmosphere points are skewed to show this, service points are based on their farmstand and anniversary party service, although remember, you cannot visit the man's house.
