This is probably the main spot to eat before or after a Nationals game. If you don't want to wait then it's best to avoid those times. I'm sure it's busy during the game as well. That being said, the place is pretty big, so it probably won't be too long of a wait. The place is also an area of growth for restaurants (and in general). So as more places open the crowd may go down slightly.

The bar area is pretty large with lots of table seating around a big oval bar. There are TVs located around the bar which makes it a good place for watching sports. The dining room doesn't have much for TVs though.

The beer selection is the same at any other GB location. Each beer is solid, and there is a rotating seasonal. Sometimes I wish GB would expand their selection or vary it by location. If you've had a beer at one location you've had it at all of them.

The food is solid as well, but again, pretty much the same at each location. There's something for everyone.

To get here, the Navy Yard stop on the metro is one choice, or one of the various bus routes that runs nearby. If you're at the Nationals game it's within walking distance of the stadium. The parking is slim, just street parking. I'm not sure if the parking garages near the stadium are open for general parking outside of game nights.
