I came back to Salem after a year in Seattle, during which Parkway had opened. For a brand-new brewer in a very simple facility, they come out of the gate like they've been doing this for a long time; they do not disappoint! So far, they offer:

-- a northwest-style IPA that lives up to the name: strong, with a lot of floral hop flavors, but not very bitter at all.

-- a Belgian blonde, light and fruity, what a summer beer should aspire to be.

-- a Baltic porter, very rich, with a lot of layers, and prominent coffee flavors.

-- a Belgian dubbel, with prominent candy flavors and very little of the "bubble gum" flavors that can mar Belgian styles

-- a "hoppy brown ale," more hoppy than brown, and a another good summer beer.

They always feature a Randall-of-the-Week. So far I've tried the IPA with fresh Cascade hops, the Belgian blonde with coffee beans and grapefruit, and the blonde again with passion fruit, dragon fruit, and lemon grass. all excellent.
