Ah the Tavern... what can I say about the Tavern. Out of all the bars in NYC this is probably the one that i have spent the most time in.

the selection of beer on tap has changed over the years increasingly adding more craft beer to the taps. Their pitchers usually are very reasonable, ranging from 10-20 depending on what you get.

Their selection always consists of the standard pub beer like PBR, Guiness, Stella, Brooklyn, and Bass. Then there are about 7 or 8 taps left for craft beer.

I will admit that the Stone Levitation Ale I had there did not taste as fresh as the same beer I had in another beer bar the previous day. I don't know if its cause it had been sitting or they need to clean their taps or what, but it didn't taste quite as fresh.

Their food is standard pub food with burgers, pizza, and such. their waffle fries are second to NONE, anywhere else in the city. Order them and you will not be disappointed.

The atmosphere itself is not somewhere you want to go when its a nice day outside and your looking for sun. Its a bit dreary inside but when its nite time you won't notice.
