West Flanders is on the location formerly occupied by BJ's Brewbub. Head brewer Brian Lutz has been in the area for many years and was involved with Red Fish in Boulder and Oscar Blues.The first test batch of New Belgium LaFolie was brewed with Brian when he was at Redfish. He continues to focus on Belgian style beers as indicated by the name.
The brewpub servers meals, but as we were there for the beer we didn't review the menu. On a Friday afternoon there was quite a crowd, so if going for dinner reservations may be a good idea.
Pearl Street Mall is a shopping area in Boulder and there are several other craft beer locations within walking distance.
