McGlynns Pub & Restaurant is an Irish-inspired tavern. As of 2012, they have three locations: Pike Creek, Peoples Plaza, and Dover on scenic Silver Lake. I have been consistently impressed with their tasty cuisine, much better than average pub fare, and the service is consistently friendly. They often put out free snacks at happy hour, and the complimentary popcorn is a nice touch! McGlynns Dover is located on the first floor of an impressive 3-story office building, surrounded by greenery and ample parking. The restaurant has noticeably ornate woodwork, and has separate dining rooms and a 31-chair marble top bar with wood trim. There are several TV's for sports or trivia. There are a dozen beers on tap, a decent selection with several rotating seasonals. Ask for "Taylor's Grog", which is an exclusive beer from Delaware's Twin Lakes Brewery that is produced just for Deer Park and McGlynns. This McGlynns location has a more upscale atmosphere versus the others, and there is a curved wall with a nice view overlooking beautiful Silver Lake. It was a pleasant dining experience.
