OK, this is really great Ale. No food, no snacks, no fancy setting..... Spartan, Bohemian and JUST GREAT BEER. And not only are they good beers, they're all DIFFERENT and DISTINCT. The owner has a good palate.

They have 4 house beers and currently 2 seasonal ales.

Backyard Porter (my favorite even though I'm an Amber lover) made with a heavy dose of Brown Malt and an IBU of only 18. If you like porter I guarantee it will make you smile. It's sweet and malty with much of the bittering coming from the dark malts instead of the HOPS.

Workingman's Pilsner . Yup it's a pils alright. Light and satisfying with that distinct taste of german Noble Hops. I think I taste Saaz but if could use a bit more. Very smooth and impressive.

Hop for Teacher - IPA. Obviously ripped off the name from Van Halen.. This IPA is much more satisfying than the SONG. All of Fountain Square's beers present a unique clean character. Probably due to attention to water prep. This is no exeption in spite of the 45 IBU of hops.

Preacher's Daughter Amber Ale - Yummy but slightly off style. The color and flavor tend to be more in the range of a brown ale instead of an amber. Nice carmels. Again, distinct from all the other offerings.

Their Seasonals follow the same rules.. UNIQUE, each with their own character.

Overall, AMAZING BEER. SUNDAY GROWLERS are only $5...

Great location with cool plans for some outside seating this spring. The tap room is simple and cool. The crew is very welcoming and nice as hell. Growlers and pints are available and priced affordably ($5 growler fill Sundays!!). The seasonal oatmeal stout is damn good, and I am usually just a hop head. I really like all their beers, though. Oh yeah, they are going to deliver growlers within the 465 loop for a very small charge. How cool is that? Another great local brewery is here. Rejoice!
