linkThe Perfect Pear is a great Vermont restaurant and is one of the culinary highlights of the Connecticut River valley. That said, their basement brewery was a real disappointment on my one visit. The bar is nice and they have great outdoor seating on the river. They had only one of their in house brews on tap, I don't even remember the name or style, all I know is that it was sour and dirty. I only had a few tastes and poured the rest of it into the river (I later felt bad for the fish). My suggestion is to have a decent meal upstairs in the restaurant and enjoy a Wolaver's or any other beer they have. I would give them another shot, but it really was one of the worst beers I've ever had. One more point, with so many great breweries in VT, how could they name it the Vermont Beer Company?
