This place is a gem.

Very affordable, unique and delicious beer. They had tshirts on sale for something like $10, and you get a free $5 sampler with purchase... basically giving stuff away at that price (the regular prices of everything were very good too).

I didn't love the brat (only food selection I believe), but it's more of an "extra" in my opinion, it's not like this place is a restaurant.

The regulars and bartender were pleasant and friendly. There's a decent amount of space here too.

The homemade root beer here is as good of root beer as I've ever had (Grumpy Troll in Wisconsin, Goose Island in Chicago and Bulldog root beer are my favorites in case you need a barometer).

I'll definitely be back here, just a great value and a lot of unique offerings.

I visited Big Beaver Brewing in Sept 2011 while I was in Denver for the GABF. The location is rather spartan and the food very simple - bratwurst cooked on a George Foreman grill. The Mason jar glassware was amusing, and the names of the beers were clever and risque. Despite the humble atmosphere, I was very impressed with the beer selection. They had a dozen beers on tap, which were bold and inventive. Most of there brews were better than average, and I was especially impressed with the "Big Woody" and "Whiskey Dick Stout". They also had a cranberry wheat and a chili beer, showcasing their willingness to be creative. Definitely worth a visit for any beerhunter.
