Loved the look of this old house turned into a McMenamins brewery/pub. I had my daughter with me while the wife was out shopping and I sat for a pint while my daughter had water. We where met with a great server who astounded us with some great beer knowledge and we where off. I had a few pints and was regaled of our past vacation by my 4 year old. We loved the place and were glad to have stopped and checked it out. This is a good stop for any thirsty beer drinker.

I visited this location on my trip from Medford Oregon to Seattle Washington. The location had a very pleasant exterior, parking was awkward but ample for 4 in the afternoon on a Tuesday. The bar inside was very small, probably enough room for 7 people. There were a few tables inside but most of the seating was available outside where there probably were 20 picnic tables. The first table I sat at was pretty lousy. Way more ants than one would like to have crawling around his food. I moved over to the table next to mine without trouble.
My fist beer was the Porter. According to their menu, the Porter is "Ebony colored with a toasted nut flavor & a sweeter, softer finish than McMenamins Terminator Stout." Toasted nut flavor not so much but sweeter and softer yes. It wasn't a very flavorfull brew but it drank easy. Almost too easy. I think I could have drank this faster than a Gatorade.
Next I tried the Terminator Stout. "Terminator is a coal black & flavor-packed stout which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Again not so much. Maybe it was the exhaustion from travel but again I drank this almost too easy. Definitely not the most flavorfully dark beer I've ever had but definitely a good drink to be had.
For dinner I got the Backyard Burger. Bacon, Tillamook cheddar, grilled onion, & Hammerhead BBQ sauce. Definitely a fantastic burger. Although it was probably the messiest burger I've ever had, who really cares. It was delicious. The BBQ was very tasty and the bun was perfect although I would have preferred a Kaiser roll. The chose the tater tots which were a nice change from the normal fries.
I'd probably go back if I were around this way again but I definitely wouldn't get the desert again. I tried the Black and Tan Brownie. Basically it is a fudge brownie with a cookie crust on the bottom. It was served with a caram-ale sauce and whipped cream which was in a word, awful. I was hoping that would have at least been good because the brownie itself was over $6 and no better than some crappy Tastykake from home.
