Our last stop of the night on the GR tour.

From the outside you would have no idea this place even exists. Once inside it looks like a pretty average townie bar. Pool tables darts and TV's up front. Small bar in the back. The selection was limited to the handful of beers they make but a good mix of styles. I settled on the barrel aged barley wine.

The server grabbed our beers and didn't make any conversation. Seemed like every one in the place was a "regular". Half the bar was watching a college hockey game with serious intensity. The BW was served in a snifter and not too cold. Which is how I like em.

Overall if I didn't know it I would have just assumed we were in some regular local bar. Not a brewery. Sometimes less pretentious isn't all that bad.

If you want a friendly neighborhood bar with a decent beer selection, than not a bad choice.

Little off the main drag, but had been given directions to so found it with no problem. When I first walked in, not what I had expected. Somewhat narrow and long with the decor of an old reception hall and the bar at the far end. The tables didn't have a single person, but the bar was packed. Luckily I found a stool where someone had left their bag, but the nice lady next to it said he was already sitting somewhere else.

The beer selection was decent and included some unique options over the standard ales & lagers. I let the bartender tell me what was best, and ended up with an above average Pale Ale.

The bartender was very friendly as were the other patrons at the bar. The head brewer was at the end of the bar and seemed to know many of the people. Definitely felt like a locals/regular bar, but not to the point where others weren't welcome.
