Rock Bottom was a breeze to find and was easy to find on the street parking after 6 pm. The place seemed huge with a crowded and bustling bar area and a seating area with several sections.
Once seated it seemed like an eternity until someone on the waitstaff came around. Once they did it was quick and efficient, but before I was on the verge of leaving. 5-10 min without a beer is a long time!
The beer came quickly, only 6 on at the time of my visit, about 4 less that I would have liked to have seen. Two were sampled, one was very good and one was just good. Dave puts out some great sounding seasonals but none were to be had at the time of this visit.
The food was good, perhaps could have been better, but was good. The almond crusted chicken with sundried cherries sounded interesting, but the cherries were added post mortem (after the dish was plated). Some cherries cooking in the sauce would have went a long way.
Anyway, the place could use a kick in the pant in terms of organizing waitstaff and the beer list could be expanded. Otherwise I'd certainly drop back in for a pint of that IPA.

I stopped in here for a late afternoon beer. Located in downtown Charlotte, I guess it had the atmosphere I expected, clean and attractive. Good place for The Suits to show up, I reckon.
They had 7 beers on tap, plus a spanking new Javalicious Coffee and Cream Stout on cask. I got the first pint. Creamy and delicious. Dave, the brewer, was in, so I chatted with him for awhile. He gave me samples of the "regular" stout, probably the IPA and something else. Dave is a very nice guy, and a good brewer. The bartender was also quite friendly.
I did not eat, so can't speak to that. From my perspective, best beer in Charlotte. Check it out.
