They're in the middle of nowhere. The web site has a section called, “Chef’s Table,” but there’s no food. DDs can get a glass of water; nothing else available. They sell a round of 5 samplers for $5, each in decent sized glasses (I’m guessing 4 oz.). It looked like a lot of locals coming in to re-fill growlers.
All of the beers we tried were brewed to style and were very clean. No obvious flaws.
Evolution Craft Brewing is located near the MD-DE state line on the Delmarva peninsula, so it's a bit of a drive to visit the brewery. Fortunately, Evolution beers can be found on tap in many regional locations, and also in bottles. In April 2012, Evolution Brewing moved from Delmar, DE to Salisbury, MD. I last visited their former location in late 2011 to have a sampler of 6 beers, and the service was good. The Delmar tasting room is rather small, but seems very popular as people cycle through to get growlers filled. The brewing equipment is visible through a window behind the bar. Their beers include Exile ESB, Haymaker Strong Ale (7.8%), Lot No 3 IPA, Lucky 7 Porter, Primal Pale Ale, Rise Up Coffee Stout, and a delicious Menagerie Scotch Ale Aged in Bourbon Barrels (9.4%). Evolution beers are refined, well-crafted from honed recipes. I am looking forward to visiting their newer larger location.
