This is an easy place to miss if you are in KC checking out the beer spots. This was our second trip to KC, but our first trip here.

Pizza was good. You're not here to hear about the pizza. Although if you are going someone with Gluten allergies, they have gluten free pizza, etc... they seem to be really into gluten free and beer. There were quite a few gluten free beers in bottles available.

They have some really eclectic taps. There are about 8-10. First time I've ever had a Hitachino on tap, and also they had The Dogfather, which I had never heard of, but enjoyed. They do flights, which is nice.

In a town that has two 100+ tap bars, this is still worth a visit. I know next time I am in town I will make a stop.

Food - Mostly pizza, some appetizers, sandwiches. They have a lunch buffet that is well-revered. Their pizza topping options are among the best in the city. They also have vegan cheese (no casein).

Service - Typically good service; declines a little when they're busy, but the bartenders are always fantastic. As of June '09, one of their bartenders is a Cicerone Certified Beer Server. They sometimes use correct glassware, sometimes not.

Beer - Taps rotate more frequently than other beer bars in KC, perhaps with the exception of flying saucer. Typically good selection that is mindful of seasonal options. Commonly carry beer on tap from Boulevard, Schlafly, Bells, Avery, New Belgium, Bear Republic, etc. Bottles vary further from about 20 different countries, including gluten-free options.

Their website is rarely up-to-date, so if you are looking for a particular beer, it pays to call ahead. Finally, Waldo Pizza is very family-friendly.
